Nature’s Finest Soil Conditioner — Premium Well Rotted Horse Manure

There’s a reason gardeners have relied on well rotted manure for centuries — nothing beats it for transforming tired, poor soil into a rich, fertile growing environment. Mr Watmore’s Premium Composted Horse Manure is fully composted, screened to below 20mm and processed in our purpose-built indoor facility, giving you a consistently dry, premium product that’s ready to use straight from the bag.

Available in an 850 litre £138 or 1400 litre bulk bag£184 delivered to all England and Wales postcodes in 2–5 working days by pallet network.  Next Day Charges Apply 12 noon cut off Monday - Thursday.

The Benefits of Composted Horse Manure

  • Improves soil structure — creates a crumbly, open texture that allows water, air and nutrients to move freely through the soil, making it easier for roots to establish and grow
  • Boosts nutrient content — naturally enriches soil with nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, copper, iron, zinc and manganese — everything plants need to thrive
  • Improves water retention — mixed into sandy soils it helps retain moisture; added to compacted soils it loosens and aerates, improving drainage and reducing waterlogging
  • Keeps plants healthy & resilient — fertile, well-fed soil produces stronger, healthier plants that are naturally more resistant to pests and disease
  • Slow-release natural fertiliser — releases nutrients gradually over an extended period, providing a steady supply of goodness throughout the growing season
  • Increases soil carbon — an important energy source that makes nutrients more available to plant roots and encourages beneficial soil organisms
  • Fully composted & screened to 20mm — safe to use straight away with no risk of burning plants, unlike fresh manure
  • pH 6.5–7 — near-neutral pH suitable for the vast majority of garden plants, vegetables, shrubs and lawns
  • XL bulk bags — our 1400 litre bag gives outstanding volume and exceptional value for larger gardens and projects

How to Use

  • As a soil conditioner — dig or rotovate into existing soil before planting at a rate of one bulk bag per 10–15 square metres for a thorough improvement
  • When planting — blend with native soil in planting holes for hedges, shrubs and trees to give roots the richest possible start
  • As a mulch — spread a 5–10cm layer over borders, vegetable beds and allotments to suppress weeds, retain moisture and slowly feed the soil as it breaks down further
  • On lawns — use as a top dressing in autumn or spring to improve soil beneath the turf and encourage lush, healthy growth
  • For vegetables & allotments — work into beds before sowing or planting to create a fertile, moisture-retentive growing medium that maximises crop yields

Important: Always use fully composted manure — fresh manure contains excessive nitrogen which can burn plants. Our manure is 100% composted and screened before packaging, so it’s completely safe to use straight away.
